Fronded Concrete Mattress

  • These anti-scour mattresses can be deployed directly into position or attached and deployed with a concrete mattress.
  • When attached to a concrete mattress, fronded mattresses provide additional protection and stabilization.
  • Our team of engineering experts can help with special requirements, mattress designs or modifications.

Fleximat

  • This standard Roman Stone product provides a high degree of flexibility and can follow the contours of a pipeline or cable along the seabed.
  • Constructed using high-strength concrete profiled blocks and UV-stabilized polypropylene rope.
  • A brick-pattern matrix reduces the open-line effect for additional protection and stability.
  • Designed to scour into the seabed for increased stability and security against overtrawling.

Tapered (Wedged) Fleximat

  • A fleximat revetment mattress is used for protection against river and sea embankment erosion.
  • Flexible construction allows it to accommodate variations in embankment profiles for maximum erosion protection.
  • Suitable for many environments, including harbors, docks, lakes, riverbanks, breakwaters, weirs, slipways, outfalls, reclamation and environmental applications, slope stabilizations and roads.

CUSTOM SOLUTIONS

Concrete Density

Concrete mattress density is generally between 145-150 pounds per cubic foot.
Under conditions where varied mattress weights are required, we can work with SPS to engineer solutions with various densities.

Protection Pads

When clients require low-friction or anti-abrasion material between the concrete mattress and the asset that it is stabilizing or protecting, we work with SPS to offer and affix a range of solutions.
